![]() ![]() Reviews of Spy Fiction were generally low. Their first game, Spy Fiction, was a stealth action game for the Playstation 2 released in 2004. Developed by Access Games, and headed up by game director Hidetaka Suehiro (better known as SWERY), Deadly Premonition was only their second game. Originally known as Rainy Woods in 2007, and given the name Red Seeds Profile upon release in Japan, the version of the game released in America was called Deadly Premonition. The answer took the form of a game released in February of 2010 a low budget survival horror game from a small Japanese studio. When violent acts are shown in the adventure sections, it's often in service of the story - and the violent acts are often more alluded to (shown with phantom figures or camera angles disguising the details).So, what do you suppose you get when you cross Resident Evil 4, Shenmue, and Twin Peaks? There is a bar in the game, where alcohol is served, and the investigation (in the past) centers around a murder case - but the violence is rarely realistic. Soon after, a man is shown sitting in a chair smoking marijuana in the first circa 10 minutes, described as being for medicinal use, and legal in Boston (the sequence of smoking is not controlled by the player). There are horror elements in a fantasy setting and the main character (a detective) uses a gun as well as a fantasy weapon against enemies. ![]() ![]() There is what can be considered (unrealistic) violence against enemies, be it fantasy creatures or sometimes animals. ![]() Deadly Premonition 2 is for the larger part an investigative adventure title - there are also action parts interspersed. ![]()
